This is my mind map after learning about Prairie Sky School:
This school provides alternative methods to “traditional” ways of teaching, with desks in rows and through lecturing. In this school space, children are free to move and express themselves freely. Students might experience learning through painting, through creating a garden, through collaboration and discussion, or through playing games in the gym. Often, our understanding of “good students” are students who are sitting quietly and working on assignments, but in this school, students are encouraged to be fully engaged in learning, to take initiative and assume leadership roles, and often, to be loud.
